Pregnancy And Depression - You Are Not Alone
I have just recently learned that pregnancy and depression can go hand-in-hand. Though many of us consider pregnancy to be a very happy time, we often forget that there are many times when a pregnancy is unplanned.
Recently a friend of mine found a she is pregnant. Actually, recently might not be the best way to describe it. She is due in a few months, and this just reminds me how fast time actually flies. It seems like just yesterday when she called me and told me that she was expecting a child. What she didnt expect was that she would be dealing with pregnancy and depression at the same time. She wasnt sure she was ready to become a mother even though she was in a stable and loving marriage. Because of her mixed feelings, and the hormones from her pregnancy, she became depressed. She quickly became an expert on pregnancy and depression.

What she learned was that pregnancy and depression are very common. Sometimes it is simply a matter of the hormones run into the womans body that causes the depression, and other times it is a mix of an existing sadness and the hormones. Though she didnt know the route of her problem with pregnancy and depression, she made sure she saw a doctor to do something about it. If youre pregnant, and you are feeling very sad and overwhelmed by your situation, you should see your doctor at once. There are many ways you can feel better, and all you have to do is take the first step. If you wont do it for yourself, try to do it for your baby.
